RJB Queensland supplied FKG Group with a Contract Services Manager for the duration of this project. Brett Nash was engaged, initially on a part time basis during the early stages of the project which became a full time role as construction progressed and onto the commissioning phase. We worked on a FIFO basis, working from both site and our Brisbane office. Our engagement included the review and letting of all services subcontractor trade packages and managed these trades throughout the duration of the project.
CPAC was a $71M project which replaced the old cairns Civic Centre. It consists of a 941 seat main auditorium, a 400 seat studio theatre, foyer space and bar area, public amenities, back of house facilities and public carpark. These new facilities provide the Cairns community with a state of the art facility and a greatly enhanced audience experience. The trades managed during this project included electrical, audio visual, security, communications, vertical transportation, mechanical, wet and dry fire systems, hydraulics, stage machinery, dock levellers and lifters, stage lighting and production sound systems.
