The Cairns Hospital Redevelopment was a $400M project that included the construction of a new 7 storey clinical services building and the redevelopment of the other 3 existing hospital buildings. RJB Queensland were engaged by Lendlease initially to review and assess variations being submitted by their services contractors. We worked closely with the subcontractors to provide value for money outcomes for Lendlease and their client.
We were also engaged as Services Manager and provided assistance with design, procurement and commissioning of the services packages. Our involvement lasted over 3 1/2 years and varied from a couple of hours a week to full-time during the height of commissioning.
